Choosing a Class: Thank
you so much for your interest in Kindermusik!
When choosing a class, please know that the age recommendations outlined
for Kindermusik classes have been carefully constructed to best group children
in a developmentally appropriate way.
Therefore, it is important that your child be at least the minimum age
by the start of the semester for the class in which you are enrolling. If you have concerns about your child’s
success in a particular age range, we are happy to discuss your child’s needs
and work with you to place him in the class best suited for him.
Free Visits: If
you would like to visit a Kindermusik class you are welcome to do so at any
time during the semester. Please call or
email to schedule a visit.
Registration: Registration is available online at www.kindermusik.com, by using the attached form, or
by calling the studio. Early
registration is encouraged as class sizes are limited. Subject to availability, classes may be joined at any time at a prorated tuition cost.
Payment: A
deposit to cover the cost of materials is due at the time of registration, with
the balance payable over the course of the semester. Payment for each month's classes will be due on the first class meeting of that month. For ABC Music & Me Classes, payment in full is due at the beginning of each 4-week session.
Sibling Discounts: There is no additional cost when a family has more than one child enrolled in
the same class in a semester.
Refunds: Tuition
refunds or credit vouchers may be given if there circumstances requiring
withdrawal from class. All refund
requests will be considered on an individual basis. The cost of materials is not refundable.
Make-Up Classes: Classes
will be made up in the event of teacher illness or inclement weather. I will notify you of the cancellation and
scheduled make-up day.
When to Arrive: Please
plan to arrive about 5-10 minutes early for class. This provides time for your child to settle
in to the musical environment.
What to Bring: Be
sure to dress comfortably for class. We
do ask that toys be kept out of sight and that snacks be finished prior to
class.
Expectations for the Class: During
class, the most important thing you can do for your child is to be an active
and patient role model. It is not
uncommon for a child to attend several classes before feeling comfortable in
class. Don’t be discouraged – what a
child is absorbing in class is often evidenced in the comfort of the home
environment rather than in a certain level of participation in class. Reinforcement and enjoyment of the
Kindermusik materials at home during the week make all the difference in a
child’s comfort and security in the classroom.
